Produce water from an irrigation well that had multiple issues.
California
Summit ESP® was presented with a highly challenging agricultural application, where competitor pumps had previously failed. The customer wanted to produce water from an irrigation well that had multiple issues including limited wellbore clearance and severe doglegs causing pump submergence issues, as well as limited power supply availability. The customer also needed to be able to produce the resource quickly and safely without incurring costly redrilling and be NSF61/372 compliant.
To meet these challenges, Summit ESP engineers designed an electrically efficient slimline electric submersible pump (ESP) that met NSF61/372 requirements. The pump was delivered 60 days sooner than what competitors typically deliver. Due to its narrow dimension, the slimline pump could easily be installed in tight and severe dogleg wellbore conditions, allowing effective pump submergence.
The slimline pump enabled the customer to successfully produce the irrigation well and get much-needed water for its crops. This was accomplished in accordance with NSF61/372 requirements, protecting health, safety, and the environment.
