Digital is foundational to Halliburton—it’s how we connect people, technology, and operations to achieve better outcomes throughout the energy lifecycle. It enables smarter decisions, greater efficiency, and higher service quality to deliver measurable performance at every stage. Each year, the Landmark Innovation Forum and Expo (LIFE) serves as our platform to showcase this vision in action.
At LIFE2025, held April 28–30 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, more than 800 senior executives, domain experts, and thought leaders from almost 200 global energy companies came together to explore how data, science, and AI can reshape the upstream energy sector.
This year’s theme, the intelligent enterprise, focused on the integration of digital technologies with domain expertise to improve efficiency, innovation, and performance throughout the asset lifecycle. At its core, the intelligent enterprise is an insights-driven model built on foundational data, scientific models, automation enabled by those models, and a digital orchestration layer that integrates everything across the entire enterprise.
LIFE2025 included keynotes, executive roundtables, technical sessions, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and an expansive digital solutions expo. The event was a collaborative platform for upstream companies to explore digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Executive leaders at Halliburton outlined a clear vision for the future of digital, centered on evolution, operational excellence, and customer value.
Jeff Miller, chairman, president, and CEO, Halliburton, described data as a strategic asset and key to digital adoption. He emphasized the benefits of digital transformation and noted that the company’s adoption of automation and digital technologies has led to significant improvements in performance and outcomes.
Digital technologies and automation are central to how we manage and execute our business. We connect data and new digital applications to increase the speed, accuracy, and breadth of our technical designs. This approach keeps us competitive and delivers value to our customers through better collaboration, advanced solutions, and safer, higher-quality execution
Miller emphasized that Halliburton achieves top-tier safety and service quality through the controls enabled by its digital systems. The company embeds digitalization within its operations to strengthen execution, improve reliability, and build a foundation for long-term operational advantage.
Tony Antoun, senior vice president, Landmark Software and Services, expanded on the vision of the intelligent enterprise. He explained how Landmark’s solutions integrate data, science, and AI to support customers throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
Antoun highlighted the flexibility of the DecisionSpace® 365 software suite, which delivers next-generation digital capabilities tailored to each customer’s goals. He positioned Unified Ensemble Modeling (UEM) and Agile Asset Management (AAM) as core enablers of the intelligent enterprise that deliver two transformational elements: scientific models and digital orchestration. Together, these technologies establish a model where data, science, and collaboration converge to produce smarter, faster, and more sustainable energy solutions.
He also emphasized Halliburton’s deep domain expertise and century-long legacy of innovation. “Halliburton brings domain expertise, based on a long heritage in data, science, and technology,” Antoun said. “Customer collaboration is built on transparency and integrity, with a strong focus on execution.”
At LIFE 2025, Halliburton spotlighted its digital approach—not as a standalone initiative, but as a foundational thread woven into everything it does. Josh Sears, senior vice president of Drilling and Evaluation, reinforced that digital transformation has reshaped how Halliburton operates and delivers value.
From the way data is acquired and analyzed to how operations are automated and executed, digital is an enabler that optimizes the way we operate, the way we make decisions, and ultimately the way we deliver value.
At the core of this approach is a digital foundation built on data, enterprise software, AI, and automation. These pillars improve performance at every stage of operations that result in greater efficiency, predictable outcomes, and optimized recovery.
Closed-loop automation also took center stage as Halliburton showcased how intelligent systems, including LOGIX™ automation and remote operations family, as well as the ZEUS IQ intelligent fracturing platform, continue to revolutionize drilling and fracturing operations—from the office to the reservoir. “With automation, systems are making decisions thousands of times per second, versus once every few minutes with human intervention,” Sears said. “This drastically reduces well delivery times, improves drilling accuracy, and lowers total cost of ownership for our customers.”
Beyond the keynote sessions, LIFE2025 showcased Halliburton’s digital leadership through more than 60 technical sessions, 24 expo booths, and a series of panels, workshops, and executive roundtables.
LIFE2025 confirmed that the intelligent enterprise exists today, not as a distant vision, but as a current capability that Halliburton delivers. The event demonstrated how Halliburton’s digital innovation transforms the energy industry and creates measurable value for customers.
A strong digital foundation anchors Halliburton operations and enables smarter decisions, efficiency, and consistent outcomes. Halliburton executes this vision every day to deliver improved performance, safer operations, and lower total cost of ownership for customers.
